Three Important Questions
Have you ever found yourself in a state of indecision?
Have you been stuck at a crossroad, unsure of which path to take?
Have you ever wondered how different things would be if you had made an alternative choice?
As Warren Buffet famously said, "There is no use running if you’re on the wrong road.”
But how can you be certain that you're on the right track?
In my encounter with life-changing decisions, I've formulated three essential questions.
When all three receive a resounding "YES," I know I'm on the right path. If the outcome consists of two "YES" responses and one "NO," I take time for introspection, knowing that the odds are still in my favor. However, if the answers yield two firm "NO"s and one "YES," or even worse, three consecutive "NO"s, I'm certain that this isn't the path I should pursue.
Let me share these three important questions I ask myself when facing significant decisions in life:
Will this decision enable me to do what I absolutely love?
Why is this first question crucial? Because life is too short to spend it doing something your heart, mind, soul, and every fiber of your being are not passionate about. It's essential to understand that you have no other option but to succeed when you embark on a path you're truly passionate about—the path that aligns with your life mission, the role that only you can fulfill on this planet. If you haven't identified it yet, don't worry; it's never too late. Even if you're in your 40s, 50s, or 60s, take the time to delve deep within yourself, identify your passions, and dedicate yourself to your calling. You'll witness how the universe conspires with you to make it a reality.
Will this decision lead me to a life I truly deserve?
Often, we sacrifice our own happiness in pursuit of the approval of others. We seek their nodding heads and clapping hands without considering what a life we truly love to live looks like.
Where do we want to be? What do we want to own? How do our surroundings look? Who do we want to surround ourselves with? What is our financial, social, and emotional status? What brings us fulfillment and harmony? What do we truly deserve? Even more crucial so, do we genuinely believe that we deserve good things in life and whether we allow ourselves to receive them when they come our way?

Find the answer to this fundamental question and decide what kind of life you deserve to live. Actively seek to construct scenarios that support that vision.
Now, the third question holds the utmost importance.
Will this decision enable me to make a contribution to the world and those around me?
The Japanese philosophy of finding meaning in life, known as IKIGAI, emphasizes that those who align their lives with a purpose experience higher levels of vitality, well-being, longevity, and happiness. They wake up each day excited to take one step further in accomplishing their mission on this planet. Your purpose in life doesn't have to be a complex matrix of intertwined plans and milestones. It's what resonates with you, what makes your heart sing, and excites you like a three-year-old. It's what brings you back to life.
Whether it's providing clean water or education to a remote mountain village, saving the rainforest, promoting equality, feeding hungry kittens during cold winters, or ensuring every young boy with a passion for soccer has decent shoes—remember, it's not about the scope or scale. History has shown us countless examples of humble ideas that have grown into worldwide movements. It's about that idea that moves you, that awakens your higher self, and empowers you to tap into your full potential to make it happen, leaving a legacy behind and making the world a more beautiful place than when you found it.
And imagine if the answers were :
YES. I will do what I absolutely love to do.
YES. I will live the life I deserve.
YES. I will make a contribution to the world and those around me.
Do you see it now?
You are, indeed, on the right path. Keep moving forward.
