There is a time for everything.
Elizabeth F Christensen
I was walking down the street when I met Autumn. He was wearing a colorful coat dazzling handsome and enticing. He took a quick look at me and asked me to twirl. I did, and I thought I was looking good myself.
I was quite proud of my many branches although they were twisted skinny and my leaves were curling crumbling and withering, and many have already fallen to the ground.
He took a second glans and I thought he was going to make a pass on me, but he took a sharp tool from his deep pockets and began to crop my branches. I was shocked. It was raining and the streets were empty. I felt naked and vulnerable when he left.
Then after a while, Mr. Winter came along. He saw my distress and nodded kindly to me. I dried my eyes with the back of my hands. A friend, I thought to myself. Before I was done thinking, something white soft and heavy covered me.
I became quite tired and exhausted and fall asleep. Whenever I woke up everything around me was either white, dark, fluffy or cold. But under my white duvet, it was kind of cozy and warm.
It seems to take forever, and I was beginning to think that this was it. But suddenly my duvet melted. The scenery was undergoing a major change. The sounds around me were pleasant. I heard the birds twitting, the water in the creek were singing songs of praises.
The color pallet was changing from white to green. Hope was everywhere different shapes, form, and structure. Mrs. Spring asked me to have a cup of morning tea together with her. She was paying compliments to my new buds springing forth. I had not even noticed that I was no longer naked.
I would never have thought life could be so good if someone had told me. But now that I was enjoying myself talking to sassy Ms summer I was ecstatic. I have noticed for the first time in my life that I was a fruit-bearing tree.
Many people came to look at me and they had a smile on their lips when they walked away. Other people laid under my shade and sang happy songs. I was no longer afraid of what was to come my way. I knew that no matter what it, it was going to be good.
