Top tips for a fruitful Shout Network Joint Meeting

Top tips for a fruitful Shout Network Joint Meeting

Whether you are a Shout Network member or visitor who wants to meet a range of businesses, we hope to see you at our next bi-monthly Joint Meeting on Friday 27th January at Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club

In case you’re the easily distracted type who realises after a networking event that you didn’t make as many connections as you could have, we’ve put together some tips for getting the most out of your attendance at a Shout Network Joint Meeting.

Exhibit if you can

A limited number of exhibition stands are available to members for free. Issued on a first come first served basis, an exhibition stand at a Joint Meeting is a unique chance to promote your products or services to an engaged audience.

Get there early

Try to arrive early and be there for as long as you can over the three hours to see as many people as possible who will be arriving and leaving at different times. Refreshments are available throughout to keep you going!

Arrange one-to-one meetings

Before a Joint Meeting invite fellow members to have a one-to-one chat during the event. There are always spaces for open networking, so it’s the ideal opportunity to get to know more about other businesses.

Get involved on social media

In the run up to the Joint Meeting, during and after, join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #SNJM. This will give you an insight into who’s attending and what’s gone on that you may have missed. You can also promote your own attendance and thank people for connecting with you.

Be part of the conference

Each Joint Meeting has a 30 minute conference section at around 10.30am with a speaker who shares insights or tips that benefit other businesses. All attendees are also invited to briefly announce their name and what they do. Make sure you are at the meeting during this time to take away tips and find out who else is in the room.
