Trust Is Greater Than Fear
I love it when blog inspiration hits me. It’s usually out of the blue and ends up being something quite close to my heart.
The biggest challenge I always face in writing these blogs is time. Isn’t that the case with all of us?
But I had an encounter the other day that inspired me to prioritize these blogs and to keep going. It was a reminder that the number of “likes” doesn’t always reflect the impact they may have.
I was at a business function and someone I’ve known for a long time pulled me aside and shared how much they appreciated my willingness to put my faith in the forefront. They shared how much they liked the messages and asked that I not back away from the messages and from the boldness of my faith. They told me to keep posting on LinkedIn and that it mattered.
Wow, that meant a lot! Someone actually read what I wrote and it made an impact on their life.
That was all the inspiration I needed to dive in again and ask God for guidance. And He provided. The words fear and anxiety were on my heart.

With all that we are faced with heading into closing out the year, there are times when I find myself being anxious. Heading into our agency’s 30th year, and with all the work that God has graced us with, it can be a little scary thinking about what the next year may hold. And my instinct is to take on that fear and anxiety and let it wash over me.
I know that’s not what God wants. He wants me to be in constant communication with Him and continue to ask Him for His guidance and peace. I have to constantly remind myself that all I need to do is lay it at His feet and He will provide. Whatever path He has for me, I trust in Him that ultimately it is the right and perfect one. It may not be in my timing or where I thought it may lead me. And it may not be the easiest path, but I trust in Him that it is what He has called for my life.
Trusting in God with all our heart can be a challenge. Especially if you’re a Type A personality like myself and tend to want to control pretty much everything. But letting go and letting God provide the way allows us to grow closer in our relationship with Him.
We lean on trust for a measure of our relationships with people we surround ourselves with. Constantly seeking a foundation of trust in our relationship with God is something we can also lean into.
