Judging from the vessel's trajectory, they should have passed on the port side, but RESURGENCE suddenly made a sharp turn from the port side and hit the port forepart of WAN HAI 288.
This vessel, WAN HAI 288, had a collision shortly after delivery in 2021, and was sent to the shipyard for repairs after her bow was severely damaged. In addition, another vessel, WAN HAI 272, was also involved in a collision on Jan. 28th, also with damage to the port side, and the vessel ran aground.
