Is University Worth it in 2025?
Hey, Hunter!
Have you ever wondered if university is still worth it? For most people, the answer might be surprising. Let’s unpack why so many students feel like they’ve traded their time, freedom, and money for… well, not much in return.
What Universities Get Wrong?
Universities promise a path to success, but the reality often falls short:
This was my experience. I went in expecting creativity, motivation, and value, but what I found was a parody of what education should be. And I’m not alone—many others share the same story.
Why I Dropped Out?
I realized something crucial: university was taking my freedom and giving nothing in return.
I wasn’t learning practical skills.
I wasn’t building the future I wanted.
So I quit.
The moment I left, I felt a rush of freedom. Suddenly, I had time to explore, experiment, and create. I became a chess coach, started building websites, and eventually launched my first business. Without university holding me back, I learned faster, earned sooner, and grew in ways the traditional system couldn’t provide.
The Real Problem with Universities
The biggest flaw? They assume students are already motivated. But motivation isn’t a given—it has to be earned. Universities often fail to engage students, leaving them unprepared for the real world.

Instead of fostering ambition, creativity, and practical skills, the system focuses on theory and overcomplication. Professors make things harder than they need to be, and students leave feeling disconnected from the very careers they’re training for.
What’s the Alternative?
If you’re debating whether university is right for you, consider these options:
Education doesn’t have to mean lectures in a crowded hall.
It can mean hands-on experience, personalized guidance, and a focus on freedom and results.
