Week Eight
Happy October! 👋 It's a new month with new opportunities to serve. Let's jump right into this week's updates.
This Week: A new building dedication, happy chickens, and how your support helps children in poverty.
Thirty years in the making
“Today, we look back over these 30 years with gratitude for all that God has done. But we believe that the best is yet to come.”
Last week, friends of Convoy gathered to dedicate the new Global Headquarters and Training Center. In addition, no general funds were used to pay for the building. This way, Convoy can continue responding to even more disasters, feeding children, empowering women, training farmers, and equipping communities with the resources they need.
We echo Convoy of Hope's President Hal Donaldson: It’s only the beginning.

Growing global hope
Exciting things are happening in the CAFS field! 🌾🐔
Last week, Convoy welcomed international staff members from program countries all over the world for a weeks-long Leadership Summit. The team toured Convoy's Center for Agriculture & Food Security, where they saw animal husbandry techniques and other farming skills that are appropriate for their cultural climates.

Spotlight on Hope
Meet Katia, a 13-year-old girl, living in the country of Haiti — she's a participant in Convoy's Children's Feeding program.
“This food gives me the strength to study and helps me grow,” Katia said. “Without this food, it is difficult for me to stay motivated in class to learn.”
She is one of 126,000 kids that Convoy feeds every school day in Haiti. At home, her father continues to heal from an accident he experienced in 2022, which prevents him from working his regular job.
All the while, gang violence, natural disasters, and other tensions threaten the livelihood of many Haitians. Despite the hardships, Katia gains hope and strength from the nutritious food she receives to continue her studies.
