What's happening in tech: February

We’ve had a solid start to the year, continuing the trends we saw at the end of last year with high job volume and plenty of fantastic tech professionals looking for their next opportunity.

As the year kicks off again, we are excited to see the return of regular technology community meetups. We are delighted to be able to support these groups, including the Women and Gender Diverse People in Tech, Cyber Security, Coders Group and Hunter Data Analytics again in 2024. Communities like these make the ecosystem so vibrant, and I'd highly encourage everyone to attend them where possible.

On the community front, next month we’re celebrating International Women's Day by supporting a cause close to my heart, raising money for Dress for Success. This organisation supports women in need to achieve financial independence through supplying business attire, job coaching and support. We’ll be hosting a lunch and silent auction on the 8th of March to raise money, and I'd highly encourage you to come along and support this worthy cause if you can.

Brett then joined mining supply chain software startup Qmaster with his current business partner Trent Bagnell. After Qmaster's acquisition, Trent founded the Slingshot startup accelerator.
