Why 1 Livestream Technique On LinkedIn Is Transforming My Business
I've been livestreaming on LinkedIn since before the pandemic.
I remember how excited I was when I was granted access to livestream on LinkedIn. Suddenly, I had a way to provide career and job search advice in real-time to my 2.6M followers.
Up until November of 2022, I tried to livestream 1 or 2X each month. I'd plan an event and promote it. Technically, it worked fine. But, in all honesty, I couldn't really say that it was positively contributing to my business.
Then I started doing, "Executive Table Talks."
Here's what happened...
For the last couple of years, I've been running a private platform for executives who want to use their depth of knowledge to better serve their network.
I teach them, step-by-step, how to showcase their executive presence on the platform which helps them significantly improve their image and increase the amount of networking requests and opportunities they get from their peers.
A huge part of this program involves my executive clients learning how to do VIDEO. (a/k/a being comfortable on camera)
I help them feel safe and confident posting videos of themselves sharing their expertise in a way that gains them trust and respect.
To do this, I needed a way to get them comfortable on video. One day, I decided to host an Executive Table Talk (we now call it ETT for short), where I brought on several of my executive clients to discuss a business topic while livestreaming on LinkedIn.
The event was a total WIN for 3 reasons...
First, my followers who watched it live loved that I had a panel of true experts sharing their knowledge. FACT: None of the executives in my program are trying to be some kind of "guru" or "coach" in their space. They simply want to provide value as a way to gain new quality networking connections. As a result, all of the experts on that first panel found their LinkedIn inbox full of people asking to connect and explaining why they loved what they shared on the show.
Next, my executives were relaxed and had a BLAST! Because they were already part of our executive community, they knew each other. As a result, they immediately felt at ease going back and forth with one another.
Finally, we got so many good questions and comments, it was easy to determine what topics we could do on a weekly basis. Ultimately, turning this Executive Table Talk into our first series.

25+ ETT's later, we've had so much success, and so many requests for more of them, we are now launching an entire roster of Table Talk Series.
My executives have become so good at these, they've asked to start doing their own by industry. Here are just a few of the Table Talk Series we've produced so far [click the link to see the latest episode here on LinkedIn]:
Not only do the executives on these shows benefit from my audience of 2.6M followers on LinkedIn, we also publish these events on our website, which gets millions more visits each month.
My goal is to expand the roster and stream several Table Talk Series each weekday, so people can listen live while they work. As well as go back and watch any one they want on demand.
We are growing our professional audience so quickly, the Table Talk Series participants are only going to see the views of their shows grow exponentially. Plus, we can also turn them into podcasts and distribute them on platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts too!
PS - What Table Talk Series do YOU want to see us produce and why?
I'd love to hear in the comments below what other ones we should add to the roster.
And, if you'd like to learn more about:
B) Having your company's executives host their own Table Talk Series. You can message me HERE on LinkedIn and we can set a call to discuss it.
