In honor of Self-Improvement Month, observed each year in September, Acceptance Insurance spoke with Ron, an Acceptance #oneteam member who has built a social media following around his messages of faith, family, professional growth, and personal change.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Ron lives in Charlotte, North Carolina where he serves as District Sales Manager for Acceptance Insurance. His TikTok account, which he began in March 2021, features everything from upbeat dance clips to sober, serious monologues reminding viewers about the importance of self-improvement. His content shows equal parts gratitude, humility, and hunger.

A New York native, Ron graduated from John Jay College with a degree in behavioral science. While at John Jay, he served as head coach of the women’s basketball team and began building a leadership career based on his charisma, work ethic, and an enduring drive for success.

Whether by nature or nurture, Ron believes it’s never too late for people to take control of their lives and aspire to greatness. For him, that daily journey begins with faith.

“I start my mornings reading the Bible, being prayerful about what I need to accomplish and direction on where I need to go,” he explained. Through honest self-reflection and intentional living, Ron hopes to set an example for his social media followers.

“I want to use my videos to help my team at Acceptance and others in my community fulfill their true potential,” explained Ron. At 56-years-young, he eagerly embraces any opportunity to put his fellow team members in the limelight to show off some fancy footwork.

In one of his earliest TikTok videos, Ron and his colleagues take a mid-day dance break to remind viewers that “Everyone is Someone,” a core tenet at Acceptance that can be found in the closing line of the Acceptance Pledge.

Over 17,800 people have taken the Acceptance Pledge to date, promising to see others as valued individuals, celebrate the shared humanity within their communities, and treat everyone with compassion and generosity.
