It’s wild how much strength it takes to face what’s going on inside. A lot of the men I work with come to me thinking they have to ‘tough it out’ in silence—especially when their relationship feels like it’s crumbling under the weight of misunderstandings and emotional chaos. But here’s the thing: silence doesn’t solve anything. It just builds walls. The real shift happens when they start talking—not just to their partner, but to themselves. Owning the struggle and showing up for the hard conversations builds something deeper than strength. It builds clarity and connection. What’s surprised me the most? When men finally let themselves be supported—whether it’s through coaching, community, or just admitting they need help—they don’t feel weaker. They feel grounded, even in the middle of the storm. Curious, what’s been the most unexpected thing you’ve learned from talking openly about mental health? Always interested in seeing how those lessons overlap with relationships.

We are on a Different Culture, Beliefs, Up Bringing, Stereotype, Double Standard and More,But I Highly Appreciated that People Evolved, Widened and Deepened their Horizon to Understand and Focus What is the Reality and It's Matter...♥️🙏 I am Wishing You and All Loved will Always Be Safe, Healthy, Inner Peace and Choose to Be Happy...♥️🌺⚡🌄🌏🌈🙏 Thank you very much for Always Sharing, Inspiring and Caring for Everyone...♥️🙏

Thanks so much for putting this together, Lewis. I too wasn’t comfortable talking about my mental health. Back in the late 90’s, it wasn’t the norm to talk about it openly or it didn’t feel like it was for me. I love that articles like this and podcasts episodes on the School of Greatness can be widely shared to contribute to the healing of (and what if a cure) depression.
