I only just noticed the 2020 Verizon Data Breach report was released in May! It interests me to see that configuration errors are problems trending upwards. For all breaches considered “user or admin errors” misconfiguration has risen from below 10% in 2015 to more than 40% in 2019. Could this be the result of the sheer number of security controls and the complexity in configuring each of them?
