Common Questions and Answers
Question 1: How is Global Dexterity different from other perspectives, like Hofstede or Erin’s Meyer’s culture map?
Answer: It’s very different because instead of focusing on dimensions of difference, Global Dexterity teaches you how to adapt and adjust your behavior in light of these differences (and without losing yourself in the process). So instead of simply comparing cultures, the Global Dexterity approach is dynamic and interactive, providing you and your clients a pathway for learning how to step outside your cultural comfort zone.
Here, for example, is what Inna Tuka, a Ukrainian-born intercultural coach and consultant from Canada said about her experience in the program : “I decided to attend “The Global Dexterity Certification Program” after reading both of Andy Molinsky’s books. I was not disappointed. While many intercultural management programs focus on analyzing cultural differences, the Global Dexterity program guides attendees on how to apply its precise methodology in real life. I found the program very insightful for helping my clients with their cultural adaptation challenges. The great added value of the program is the community of Global Dexterity Practitioners that are well-connected and supportive of each other after the program is completed. Best recommendations.”

Question 2: I am an intercultural coach and trainer. How can the course help me in my work?
Answer: Hopefully in many ways - since most of our 70+ participants have been intercultural coaches, trainers and teachers!
Global Dexterity provides coaches and trainers with a unique viewpoint and framework about navigating cultural differences that they can immediately apply to the work they do. Here’s what Konrad Wdowiak, a Polish/UK Intercultural Coach and Trainer had to say about the program: “I’ve learnt about Global Dexterity from Andy Molinsky’s book and I started to use it immediately. Instead of overwhelming my clients with cultural dimensions they know nothing about, we can focus on solving cross cultural issues one step at a time. Participating in the official certification programme helped me to structure my knowledge, raised my credibility, and then, allowed me to link with GD certified practitioners from all over the globe.”
Question 3: What if I am not a trainer or coach? Can I still benefit from Global Dexterity certification? Absolutely! We have had several managers, HR professionals, and consultants participate in the program. For example, Yasmina Khelfi, a project manager from France, said this about her experience in the program: “I am not an intercultural coach but I work in international projects. Investing in Global Dexterity Course helped me to step back and learn new ways to overcome cultural challenges. It was also a way to reflect on my journey and how to improve. I had a blast and could connect with many people around the world. I enjoy being part of the Alumni community.
Koichi Okabe from Japan, a senior project manager leading multinational teams echoed Yasmina’s perspective: “As a project manager leading and managing multinational team members, I would say the Global Dexterity Method is an indispensable piece to developing a collaborative relationship among those who have diverse cultural backgrounds and leading the global project to success. The Global Dexterity Method can be applied in any cross-cultural environment, providing practical solutions to adapt to a variety of cultural settings and mitigating psychological challenges that most of your trainees will face in leading and managing global business.”
Question 4: Is there a way for me to learn more about people who have participated in the program?
I want the right people to join the course – because I believe it can help you accomplish your most important goals.
