Willowdown Books are calling for poetry submissions which explore human contact through society and to address the important contemporary political issues at play right now.
The Pandemic
We are looking for poems about poets experience of the COVID-19, the effect of lockdowns, and how the world is changing.
Black Lives Matter
We are looking for poems about racism, about identity, and about changing the narrative.
Climate Change
We are looking for poems, about Man's effect on the environment, about Nature, and about our changing natural world.
Domestic Violence
We are looking for poems about coercive relationships, about coping with violence, and about living with the enemy.
Global Economy
We are looking for poems about how our world is structured economically, about poverty and injustice, and about money and power.
Guidelines: - poems van be up to eighty lines long (not including the title and stanza breaks), must be your own work, can have been published online but not in print, and must be substantially in English. The submission fee is $15 for two poems, and is open to anyone from anywhere; closing date April 4th, 2021.
