DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) recently released its 2023-24 attendance report. In addition to summarizing and disaggregating attendance rates, the OSSE team examines the relationship between attendance and early dismissal policies, pre-Kindergarten attendance, public transit travel times, and neighborhood safety. Their work shows the importance of both data reporting AND analysis.

How can we better prepare D.C.’s youth for career success? Collaborative member D.C. Policy Center has released Building Career Assets for Lifelong Success, a detailed analysis of career-readiness opportunities for D.C. high school students.
