#ESMA performed its KoM on the past January 25th at ESSP premises in #Madrid. Representatives of all different partners, boards and other interested entities attended the meeting. The project and its different stakeholders where presented. The meeting started with a short welcome made by ESSP as project’s coordinator, CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking made a short introduction of their activities and approach of the project inside its framework. #Airlines had also its spot inside this presentation: Transavia and Air France presented new #SatCom equipped aircraft supply plan, to be used during the first demonstration of the project. EUROCONTROL as pan-European aviation supporter and partner of the project, also took part in the meeting. The meeting continued with a summary of the different work packages of the project, with presentations being made by the different task leaders (SITA, Frequentis, Airbus, OBIZCO and ESSP SAS). Since January 2024, the European Sky Multilink ATN (#ESMA) started its activities. #ESMA is a Digital Sky Demonstrator (DSD) that will be developed for the European Commission, co-funded by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and supported by SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking. With the main objective of developing the basis to the future ATN multilink communication concept, this project will directly tackle the L band European VDL congestion while contributing to the digitalization of European Skies. Leaded by ESSP SAS, the project will gather key stakeholders coming from the whole spectrum of our industry.
