  • In collaboration with the University of Copenhagen’s Department of Food Science, the 2024 edition of the Nordic Membrane Technology Forum was hosted by GEA in Skanderborg, Denmark. The one-day seminar featured a diverse lineup of visitors and presenters, ranging from academics, membrane suppliers to key industry players. The event also included contributions from GEA experts from our Centre of Competence for Membrane Filtration Technologies, as well as GEA’s Global New Food Application know-how. The forum was a great success, addressing topics such as: • Electrodialysis of plant-based pea protein ingredients • Filtration for bio-refinement of green leaves to produce animal feed and high-quality food-grade proteins • Scaling up bio-sustainable production processes • Membrane filtration in the alternative protein sector • GEA’s role in membrane filtration in the industry and precision fermentation We are excited for future forums to exchange ideas and are proud to be a key player in the global development of membrane filtration technologies.
