Last week, we hosted our EMEA Alternative Investments Conference in London, bringing together over 300 clients and friends of the firm from 34 countries around the world. We discussed the latest trends across alternative asset classes, including private equity, private credit, secondaries, infrastructure, and growth equity. A poll of attendees at the conference showed that investors remain cautious about the macroeconomic environment and are increasingly likely to turn to the private markets for equity and credit to drive returns. Thank you to all who joined us.

Meena Lakdawala-Flynn, global co-head of Private Wealth Management and co-head of One Goldman Sachs, joined CNBC’s “Closing Bell” to discuss her ongoing constructive view on US equities and alternative investments. On the topic of current valuation levels: “If you look at the last ten years, 70% of the return has actually come from earnings and dividends,” said Flynn. “We’ve been in the tenth decile of valuations on the S&P [500] since December of 2016. Since that time, the markets returned 200%.” Watch the full interview: http://ms.spr.ly/6043U3W0P

Our Wealth Management Investment Strategy Group (ISG) outlines their views for 2025 in the newly released Outlook, Keep On Truckin'. Their two primary investment themes of US Preeminence and Staying Invested remain intact. The gap between the US and the rest of the world across key economic and financial market metrics continues to widen further. ISG believes no major country will catch up to the US across most of these metrics for the foreseeable future — if ever.
