When one AI-powered assistant isn't enough: Meet AI agents! With the Siemens Industrial Copilot, factory workers and #automation engineers get support in their daily tasks through intuitive, simple question-and-answer interactions. #AI agents take this a step further and expand the Industrial Copilot, enabling the automation of entire processes. Think of agents as intelligent helpers – autonomous software systems powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence. An agent orchestrator manages a pool of these agents, delegating tasks to the most suitable agent for optimal results. AI agents excel at breaking down large, complex tasks into manageable subtasks, which they execute independently. They can analyze vast amounts of data in real-time, make decisions, and take action seamlessly. At Siemens Industry, we are proud to lead the way in making #ArtificialIntelligence truly industrial-grade.

🐛 Insects are one of the most #sustainable protein sources. At Nasekomo, they harness the potential of the black soldier fly to produce sustainable animal feed. Using our #DigitalTwin technology, Nasekomo is standardizing and scaling its operations under a groundbreaking franchise model. This enables the efficient production of insect-based protein, oil, and fertilizer – all while promoting a circular economy by converting organic by-products into valuable resources. From reducing energy consumption to enhancing carbon footprint management using SiGREEN, Siemens Xcelerator technology provides the tools to accelerate their digital transformation and sustainability goals. 📈 Nasekomo is targeting exponential growth, with plans to support more than 100 production sites by 2030, meeting the rising global demand for 2.5 million tons of insect protein annually. 🐝 What’s next? Nasekomo’s vision extends beyond insects to transform other agricultural sectors like tomato cultivation and mushroom production.

Robots and additive manufacturing combine in a single production cell to create a niobium aerospace nozzle. Stephanie Hendrixson highlights Siemens and VLM Robotics’ demonstration at Formnext - Where ideas take shape. Using a Siemens Sinumerik CNC controller, the cell integrates wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), machining, niobium spraying, and metrology—all without moving the part between processes. In an increasingly connected world, companies are exposed to a constantly growing risk of cyberattacks. More than 60% of manufacturers in Germany, Japan and the US have experienced cyber incidents, underlining the urgency of cybersecurity. Companies must not only secure their IT systems but also take measures to protect their OT environment. In addition, the NIS 2 directive will have a significant impact on companies' cybersecurity strategies. From October 17, 2024, all EU member states must transpose the measures of this directive into national law. These new regulations require a holistic approach that includes both technical and organizational measures. Investment in modern security solutions and a robust security strategy are essential to protect your data and operations while also meeting the legal requirements🛡️
