🌍🧪 Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! 🧪🌍 Marking its 10th anniversary, this day highlights the importance of breaking down barriers so that more women and girls can pursue careers in STEM — because when science and innovation reflect everyone, society moves forward. The system is expected to ease congestion in the city by providing an additional mode of commute and the potential capacity to provide mobility service to over 1 lakh (0.1 million) people everyday. Our member Kochi Metro Rail Ltd got featured in the Republic Day Special Edition of India Today magazine for its Water Metro service! Spearheaded by the visionary leadership of Shri LOKNATH BEHERA, Managing Director, Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. (KMRL), we wish him and his entire team heartfelt congratulations for setting a new benchmark in #AdvancingPublicTransport by being the first to operate water metro system in #India. Recently #KMRL has also launched electric feeder bus service from some of its metro stations, setting a praiseworthy example of seamlessly integrating the different modes of #PublicTransport.
