#LocalContent As the wind energy sector grows, so does the opportunity to enhance localisation, build skills, and support South African businesses. For select projects, we have successfully incorporated our concrete tower design, which enables the establishment of local manufacturing and assembly operations. With a stable yearly wind market of 1 GW, further local manufacturing opportunities—including cables, staircases, and anchor cages—will become viable. However, sustained industry growth is essential to drive #investment in larger components such as blades, steel towers, and nacelles. Our concrete tower factory in the Eastern Cape is a hub of precision #engineering and #localimpact—and it looks even more impressive at sunset! Each wind turbine tower is built from 25 keystones, with the largest weighing over 57 tonnes and stretching 20 meters in length. Every step of the process—from rebar installation to a 7-10-day curing cycle—ensures strength and durability. South Africa’s energy landscape is evolving, and private sector investment is increasingly important in driving new wind energy projects. Despite recent grid constraints, we are proud to continue to deliver large-scale wind power solutions. CONSTRUCTION MILESTONE: We're excited to share that the first batch of wind turbine blades has been safely delivered to our cluster of wind farms near the #Impofu Dam in the Eastern Cape. These blades, each 79m long, are among the key components of the 57 Nordex turbines that will be constructed on-site.
