[In Graph] The Red line in the graph represents Rand Water's consumption agreement with the Metros. The Blue line in the graph shows the consumption patterns/trends (up and down the red line) of the Metros. When the Blue line falls below the Red line, it means the Metro is managing its water consumption effectively within the water use licence agreement with Rand Water. However, when the Blue line is above the Red line, it means the Metro is consuming more water than agreed upon with Rand Water. Metros with high consumption (Blue line above the Red line) are encouraged to enhance their water conservation campaigns and collaborate with communities to reduce water usage. The Green line in the graph represents the target that will ensure sustainable water supply. #RWMeterReadings #RWWaterDemand #RWWaterSupply #RWWaterSustainability [NS] AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS African Christian Democratic Party ActionSA AfriForum Democratic Alliance United Democratic Movement Inkatha Freedom Party Department of Water and Sanitation AWSISA Patriotic Alliance for National Development (PAND) ECONOMIC FREEDOM FIGHTERS

[In Graph] The yellow line represents pumped volumes (4903 Ml/d) on average. This is the water that Rand Water produces and pumps. The blue lines is then the volumes which reach the customers (4599 Ml/d on average). The red line shows that storage is low which is a function of high water consumption. The lower the storage, the bigger the risk of water supply issues. Therefore, Metros must reduce consumption in order to boost storage and avert a supply interruption possibility. #RWMeterReadings #RWWaterDemand #RWWaterSupply #RWWaterSustainability [NS] AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS African Christian Democratic Party AfriForum ActionSA Patriotic Alliance for National Development (PAND) United Democratic Movement Inkatha Freedom Party Democratic Alliance AWSISA Gauteng Provincial Government Department of Water and Sanitation Departments: Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs South African Local Government Association

#RWPlannedMaintenance #RWWaterDemandManagement #RWWaterSupplyInterruption #RWEikenhofflexibility 🚨 Update on the recovery of Eikenhof after the maintenance project 🚨 Based on what we indicated about the timing of the maintenance work that was successfully completed on 16 December 2024, we are pleased to report that most of our municipal customers are reporting steady recoveries and that most areas that were impacted are starting to receive water. It is important to note that this was one of the maintenance project undertaken with the fastest recovery. This is influenced by the fact that schools, businesses, and industries are closed and some ramping down production in preparation for the festive seasons hence accelerated recovery process which is a function of manageable consumption. We continue to work closely with municipalities that were impacted by the maintenance to ensure faster recovery in all areas. The objective is to minimise disruptions to communities and ensure that complete recovery is achieved within the shortest period. Maintenance of the water infrastructure is critical in ensuring long-term provision of uninterrupted water supply. We thus thank our municipal customers who were impacted by the maintenance for their support, patience, and understanding of the reasons behind the maintenance.
