Minister of Tourism Patricia De Lille alongside Deputy Minister Makhotso Sotyu Sotyu, and Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero, visited the Soweto Chefs Academy in Kliptown. The Tourism Minister emphasised the importance of diversifying South Africa's tourism offerings. “There’s a perception that South Africa is all about safaris, Table Mountain, and the three big cities,” she noted. Highlighting the efforts of the Soweto Chefs Academy, the Minister expressed how such initiatives provide a unique opportunity to showcase Mzansi’s rich culinary flavours to the world while upskilling and helping create job opportunities for graduates who can open their own businesses. #VisitSouthAfrica
