An impressive contribution! Thank you, Carmel Williams! =========== University of Adelaide Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Adelaide #PublicHealth
✍ New year, new manuscript category! We are excited to announce that the Health Promotion Journal of Australia (HPJA), under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Carmel Williams and the HPJA Editorial Team, will introduce a new manuscript category in 2025: Research to Policy Translation Paper. Health promotion has a long history of translating knowledge and evidence into practical, impactful policies, programs, and services. However, as the field has expanded to address increasingly complex societal issues – such as the social determinants of health equity, poverty, social injustice, climate impacts on health, and the digital and commercial determinants of health – the challenges of translating evidence into effective policy and practice have also grown. To address these challenges, HPJA is creating a dedicated platform for research and policy translation conversations, exchanges, and evidence sharing. This new manuscript category will showcase successful research translation strategies and support the health promotion community to build on its early successes. It aims to foster more sophisticated and nuanced approaches to translating research into impactful policy and practice. More information coming soon - stay tuned! HPJA is an official publication of the Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA). Dear all, take care of your health in all aspects.
Don't just sit and doom scroll during this holiday period! Take care of your EYES. Here's the thing: Prolonged screen or reading times can lead to eye strain, dry eyes, and headaches. DO take breaks! Use the 20 - 20 - 20 rule to help your eyes: ⏩After using desktop screen or looking at your mobile phone for 20 minutes ⏩Look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds It's that simple.
