We are so excited for what is next for Geora and its cofounders Bridie Ohlsson and Cadel Watson. Congratulations also to AgriProve on the acquisition of the Geora Platform. This is such a positive outcome for both companies, and their customers and stakeholders. We can't wait to see how we can work together in our joint missions. The creation of Geora was an AgriDigital initiative that started back in 2018. We took all of AgriDigital's blockchain experimentation, datasets, pilots and the platform prototype and created a separate company called Geora in 2019. We did this so that Geora could focus solely on solving trust and transparency across the agri-sector and supply chain for all commodities, food, fibre and fuel types. Today's announcement is the next step in that journey. We also want to extend a special congratulations to the Geora team and especially Bridie and Cadel who started their careers at AgriDigital. Bridie was the Blockchain Product Lead and Cadel was the Blockchain Tech Lead at AgriDigital. They took the big leap of faith and self-belief in leaving AgriDigital to lead Geora as co-founders. Geora will now continue its development and growth as part of AgriProve and will transform to the AgriProve Platform. No doubt this will be a winning combination of tech and science, all in service of our farms, farmers, nature and the climate.

Thunderstorms might have pulled up Australia's grain harvest over much of New South Wales and parts of Victoria for a day or so, but harvest is still going fast and furious across the country and will be complete before we know it. The last 7 days has been enormous with more than 6,500 grain growers delivering over 210,000 mt of grain to AgriDigital Platform users. Happy International Day for Rural Women 2024! Amongst many "international days" of importance throughout the year we take a moment to pause today and celebrate the role that rural woman play in our economy, the agrifood system and supply chain, and in their local communities. This year's WHO theme is: Rural Women Sustaining Nature for Our Collective Future: Building climate resilience, conserving biodiversity, and caring for land towards gender equality and empowerment. At AgriDigital we have reflected on the fact that: 1. Rural women account for 22% of the global population and overwhelmingly face extreme poverty and unequal access to education, health services and broader employment opportunities than their city-based counterparts and men more generally; this is true even in Australia 2. Globally 36% of women work across the agrifood supply chain which makes agrifood one of the largest employers of women, and 3. Rural women are the central actors in rural health globally via both direct and indirect services.
