The North West Wastewater Connection and the Thornleigh Pipeline Duplication projects address the growing demand on the city’s water infrastructure as the Greater Sydney population reaches a predicted 8 million people in the next 40 years. This significant urban growth requires upgrades to water, wastewater, storm water and recycled water infrastructure to support the increased pressure on these systems. Giant Steps provides best practice education, services and support to children and young adults living with autism. We are excited to have officially broken ground on the largest solar farm under construction in Victoria. Last week we joined the Victorian Minister for Climate Action, Energy and Resources and State Electricity Commission, the Hon Lily D'Ambrosio, colleagues from Equans Solar & Storage, and our valued client ENGIE AU for a sod-turning ceremony at the 250 MW Goorambat East Solar Farm project. Goorambat is another opportunity for us to demonstrate our ability to deliver large scale solar infrastructure safely and on time. We believe that strong collaboration with Engie, meaningful engagement with local community and stakeholders, and the use of innovative construction technologies will shape the successful delivery of this flagship project. This is a critical piece of infrastructure that will make a real difference to the local Victorian community, and beyond. On all our projects we have an unwavering focus on making positive environmental commitments for the benefit of future generations. 🏃♀️ Welink Australia - Odessyea Race 🏃♀️ This week, an intrepid group of women from Bouygues Construction Australia, A W Edwards and VSL Australia donned the Odessyea pink and took to the rainy streets of the CBD to participate in the Bouygues WeLink fundraising walk to raise funds for the Australian Breast Cancer Network. This was part of an international initiative taking place across the Bouygues Group. It was a great opportunity to get the steps up, breathe some fresh air, and have a chat to colleagues in the business while skirting around our beautiful Sydney Harbour. 📢 PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT 📢 Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance Executive General Manager Nicolas Caille, Bouygues Travaux Publics International Director for Asia Pacific Vincent Avrillon Rivault and Bouygues Construction Australia CEO Seved Robin recently joined the South Australian Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, CEO for the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, and members of the T2D Alliance to sign the purchase contract for three tunnel boring machines (TBMs) from world leading manufacturer Herrenknecht AG. The T2D Alliance, comprising Bouygues Construction Australia, John Holland, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs, and Ventia, made the decision to add a third TBM to the project. With this additional TBM the team can construct both the north and south tunnels simultaneously, and work on this city-shaping project could potentially be completed ahead of the 2031 target. The TBM announcement follows the main construction contract signing in September where the Alliance committed to delivering South Australia's most significant infrastructure project. T2D is the catalyst for transforming South Australia’s infrastructure industry, and is a vital step in building community connection, improving road safety on the North South Corridor and revitalising local industry.
