Our research for the Western Australian mining and resources sector has featured in recent news (links below). Understanding public awareness, comprehension and engagement with key issues is fundamental to the development of effective information campaigns. This advertising campaign by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy highlights how Western Australia's metals, minerals, and gas benefit us all and are so essential to everyday life. It's a great example of how research helps to drive much needed knowledge improvement in the community to build appreciation of the need for continued investment in the mining and resources sector. https://lnkd.in/gVcD2rbS https://lnkd.in/gKmsChnM #JWSResearch #FindOutWhatTheyreThinking #Auspol #LikeableCreative #CME

The research role we play in supporting the Susan McKinnon Foundation is an area of work we are delighted to keep delivering, as it has such a clear national interest. Our founder John Scales will keep supporting the Foundation’s special initiative to acknowledge public leadership through the McKinnon Prize. Our latest True Issues research explores some important questions around how the Australian public now see their living standards, the direction of the national economy and associated policy responses. Some of it is interesting to examine in the context of the US election result, where we have also completed some special research about local attitudes. We will be publishing the latest True Issues data in coming days so to join our distribution list please subscribe here: https://lnkd.in/geRZKPPF Read Tom Dusevic’s recent thoughtful pieces in The Australian via the links below: Is Chalmers living in the same country as the rest of us? https://lnkd.in/gTQ_Qsnj Struggling Australians lose faith as Chalmers steers towards the rocks https://lnkd.in/gf-ZmPCb #JWSResearch #TrueIssues #AusPol #CostofLiving #LivingStandards

JWS Research’s Senior Research Director Jessica Lai attended a wonderful Susan McKinnon Foundation event, The McKinnon Prize in Political Leadership , recognising outstanding political leadership in Canberra this week. Award winners MP Bridget Archer and Senator David Pocock were the stars of the show. Their candid and inspiring contributions to the lively panel conversation highlighted why they were such worthy recipients of the political leadership awards. #JWSResearch #McKinnonPrize #PoliticalLeadership #AusPol

We continue to work closely with the Susan McKinnon Foundation to uncover public opinion insights that contribute to the national economic debate. Recently the McKinnon Poll, conducted by JWS Research, found that Australians are far more inclined to prioritise the role of the Reserve Bank in fighting inflation compared to the central bank’s other key responsibility of keeping unemployment low. The research also found that more than half (52%) of the community believe inflation will still be above the RBA’s 2 to 3 per cent inflation target band in 12 months. JWS Research insights have long been powerful contributors to national and state government policy design. Recently we helped shape official thinking around tax policy options and the growing take up of electric and hybrid vehicles by working with the National Automotive Leasing & Salary Packaging Association | NALSPA. Our research found nine in ten plug-in hybrid EV owners recharge the battery at home at least twice a week, including nearly three in five who plug in every night. As a result, six in ten of these drivers are saving as much as $75 a week on fuel. We recently enjoyed a VIP tour of the Pharoah exhibit at the National Gallery of Victoria as part of a team day – what an experience! You can catch a few of our highlights in the video, or to check it out in person act quick!
