McCormack worked closely with local trades to deliver essential refurbishment works for Haven House, a 7-bedroom crisis accommodation facility in the Inner West, supporting girls aged 12–17 facing trauma or instability at home on behalf of NAWIC NSW - National Association of Women in Construction & @propertyindustryfoundation Haven House Inn provides 3–6 months of support to young women and girls in need, offering a secure, welcoming environment where they can access emotional support, practical resources, and essential services. Residents are connected with GPs, counsellors, education, employment opportunities, and other resources designed to build resilience, coping skills, and confidence. To ensure the facility is safe and functional, key works included the construction of a youth worker overnight room, a crisis bedroom, and various general upgrades to improve privacy and comfort for residents. The scope involved demolition, partitioning, plumbing, joinery, flooring, electrical work, tiling, laundry & bathroom upgrades, delivering practical and impactful improvements to the space. This project was an immensely rewarding experience for our team of contractors and volunteers who contributed and to the Property Industry Foundation for spearheading this important initiative.
