The scope involved demolition, partitioning, plumbing, joinery, flooring, electrical work, tiling, laundry & bathroom upgrades, delivering practical and impactful improvements to the space. VIC Project: M2M Group, L5, 355 Spencer Street, West Melbourne McCormack transformed a 19th-century heritage-listed space at 355 Spencer Street into a modern, character-rich workspace. Appointed by Vantage and M2M Group, the team delivered a 1,350sqm fit-out and base building works, enhancing the building's natural light and earthy ambience. The client’s vision centred on preserving the industrial charm that initially drew them to the space. Embracing this aesthetic, the design captures the essence of a New York studio warehouse, with open layouts, exposed brickwork, and visible ceilings enhancing the building’s natural warmth and character. The use of earthy tones and textures further complements the abundance of natural light, creating a cohesive and inviting workspace. The project’s unique environment required particular consideration in regards to compliance, such as the seismic design upgrades for the impressive high-pitched roof. Working on a cold shell site with a history dating back to 1888 meant all stakeholders adopted a very solutions oriented approach which resulted in a very fulfilling and rewarding experience for all involved. McCormack and Vantage Fitouts stayed committed to the clients vision, navigating the building’s obstacles to successfully deliver M2M Group's ideas to their full potential, and transforming a historic structure into a space that beautifully balances industrial grit with modern functionality. • VIC Project: Orde Financial, 31 Queen Street  Orde Financial returned to McCormack following our successful delivery of their initial fit-out at 31 Queen Street. Now taking on additional space in the same building, they engaged us to create a more dynamic space to support their growing team and future expansion. As a leading non-bank mortgage lender in Australia, Orde Financial sought a space that not only serves their team but also enhances broker interactions to deliver exceptional client experiences. Design consultants Studio 103 created a bright and welcoming space that reflects the client’s brand vision and operational needs. A standout feature is the boardroom, a versatile and functional space designed for both clients and employees. A herringbone timber-look vinyl floor and mirrored timber batten ceiling add warmth and cohesion, while glazed partitions bring in natural light. By maximising natural light with strategic glazing and employing a neutral colour palette, Studio 103’s design enhances openness while maintaining a refined, restrained aesthetic that aligns with the client's values and preferences. • VIC Project: GMHBA, 60 Moorabool Street, Geelong     GMHBA, Australia’s leading regionally based not-for-profit health insurer appointed McCormack design and construct contractor for their multidisciplinary hub in Geelong.   This new flagship facility for GMHBA represents a significant investment in the health and wellbeing of the Geelong community, bringing together a wide range of essential health services under one roof such as private health insurance, dental, eye care, medical and physiotherapy services.   GMHBA’s health hub redefines the typical wellness space, offering a warm, community-centred environment. Travertine stone is used throughout the fit out that adds depth and sophistication, while a thoughtful mix of materials like exposed brick, timber, and stone compliments with GMHBA’s signature colours, crafting a modern and inviting setting.   McCormack worked closely with consultants to provide extensive value management throughout the design phase to alleviate costs. GMHBA altered at the commencement of construction to bring in additional costs, which our team immediately condensed the programme, fast tracking the programme to minimise the impact of the additional scope.   Well done to all our team and contractors who went above and beyond to deliver a space for GMHBA that will be utilised by the community for years to come.   Client: GMHBA Limited Design: DKO Architecture Client PM: MostynCopper Engineer: ADP Consulting Pty Ltd #McCormack #Construction #MedicalFitout #Geelong #GMHBA #BuildingServices
