Nowadays, it’s quite easy to get swept up in the negativity around our economic plight. Living costs are a very real concern, as are increasingly unaffordable house prices. But, as Australians, we’re also quite fortunate. Our economy has enjoyed an unprecedented run of growth, we’re highly educated, we’re resource-rich, and we have opportunities – one of which lies in energy creation. As Darren Brown, Co-Managing Director, Renewables at Octopus Investments Australia Investments tells it, there is “a really unique opportunity for Australia to become a superpower in renewable energy”. In the latest installment of the Rules of Investing podcast, Brown discusses the transformative changes taking place in the energy sector, the strategic initiatives underway, and the opportunities for investors in the renewable energy market in Australia. Brown's unique perspective, gained from his experience in both fossil fuels and renewables, provides valuable insights into the industry's evolution and the potential for long-term growth in the renewable energy space. It was a pleasure hosting the Western Downs Community, landholders, and government representatives at our Dulacca Wind Farm last week. We had the opportunity to showcase our turbines up close and engage in insightful conversations about the future of renewables in the region. A big thank you to RES and Vestas for facilitating the visit!
The Queensland Community Renewables Forum continued yesterday with #WesternDowns #landholders enjoying a guided tour of the Dulacca Wind Farm, owned by Octopus Investments Australia. The tour provided an inside look at how the turbines and facility are operated. The insights shared and discussions held at this week’s #QCRF #MilesForum have provided a valuable foundation for landholders eager to learn more about Queensland’s renewable energy transition. Additional forums will be held in central and northern Queensland over the next six months. 🎦 Over the coming days, we will be sharing more thoughts, opinions and insights captured at the event.
