A bit of good news for a Tuesday morning 🥰 At Qteq, our commitment goes beyond our work and extends to the communities and environments we encounter. During a recent trip to the Northern Territory for a project with a valued customer, our dedicated Wireline Engineer, Reza Soltani, demonstrated true compassion on the road. On the 5,300 km round journey, whilst traveling through Central West Queensland, Reza discovered a mother kangaroo that had been struck by a vehicle. But, standing beside her was a small joey in need of help. Despite being relatively new to Australia, Reza didn't hesitate. He safely rescued the joey and reached out to his supervisor, Yashin for immediate support, liaising with the RSPCA Queensland and the Blackall-Tambo Regional Council on how best to manage the situation. Thanks to Reza's swift actions and perserverance, he was connected with a local wildlife rescuer who is now providing the joey with the care needed for a hopeful return to the wild. Kudos to Reza for his empathy and adaptability! Qteq would like to extend a massive shout-out to Mob Up Pty Ltd for delivering an insightful cultural heritage management training course recently at our Toowoomba Centre of Excellence. The training brought together a diverse mix of Qteq field personnel, management, and support staff, enhancing their understanding of First Nations cultural heritage. The course highlighted how, both as a company and as individuals, we can contribute significantly to the preservation and protection of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage. It also emphasised the importance of building respectful relationships grounded in the spirit of reconciliation. A special thank you to Shari Eggmolesse for facilitating the session.
