🚀 Exciting news for NSW's biotech sector! RNA Australia has officially launched, marking a significant step in developing a world-class RNA research and development ecosystem in the state. 🔬 RNA Australia, a joint venture between the NSW Government and NSW/ACT universities, will oversee the new RNA Research & Pilot Manufacturing Facility at Macquarie University. This facility will be among a handful globally, driving innovation in RNA therapeutics, vaccines, and delivery technologies. I was supposed to present at Biomolecular Horizons 2024 today in the RNA Biology session. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond my control, I could not make it to Melbourne in time. BUT I have pre-recorded my talk which will hopefully play without hiccups. I will be talking about long non-coding RNAs as emerging therapeutic targets in oncology. A bit of a blend of my academic work at Otago Biochemistry and my two companies Amaroq Therapeutics and Fold.AI.
