In the last financial year, more than 50 million items were diverted from landfill through reuse at Salvos Stores across the country and online. ✨ theiconic has launched the exciting new partnered service of RCYCL+ REWEAR in partnership with Salvos Stores to enhance clothing waste management ✨ Customers can now #donate pre-loved clothes and #recycle unwearable items by purchasing a RCYCL+REWEAR bag bundle from theiconic. This initiative, evolving from the successful 'Giving Made Easy' program, has already facilitated the donation of 10,000kg of clothing in 2023-2024.   RCYCL addresses the lack of systematic end-of-life clothing collection and processing in Australia, reducing the textile waste impact on Salvos Stores by managing unwearable items. While customers pay a small fee for the bags to cover logistics costs, the service supports Salvos Stores mission to create #ChangeForTomorrow and ensures responsible recycling and further circularity of fashion. ♻️🌏   Leaders from The Iconic and RCYCL both emphasise the importance of sustainable practices, encouraging consumers to take action in managing their wardrobe waste.
