The evening brought together Sydney's elite to mark this significant milestone, blending French elegance with the city’s vibrant spirit and celebrating Sofitel’s 60th Diamond Jubilee. Sofitel CEO Maud Bailly highlighted this milestone, reaffirming our place at the heart of Sydney’s vibrant social scene. Reward Group entrusted for a fourth time refurbishing the Iconic Sofitel Sydney Wentworth The stunning refurbishment of an Sydney icon was spearheaded by Reward Group with designs from renowned architects Fender Katsalidis. The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has reopened its doors, unveiling a transformation that enhances the luxury experience of this iconic Australian hotel. The recent transformation was backed by a strategic partnership between KKR Futuro Capital and Marprop Real Estate Investors, who acquired the property in 2021 through Michael Simpson of CBRE Hotels. Reward Group’s Associate Director, Jimmy Lee, reflected on the significance of the project, highlighting his team’s long-standing connection with the Sofitel Wentworth. “This refurbishment has been an incredibly rewarding experience for us, and it has been a privilege to contribute to its next chapter.” General Manager Sam Panetta said, Reward Group have always had a long-standing relationship with the Sofitel, and it was a pleasure to have them working back with the owners’ group Futuro and Accor. Rewards experience and dedication to the project was testament to their experience and understanding of complex hotel project of this nature, while being aware of the complexity and challenges of working withing a full service operational hotel, such as the Wentworth.
