RF Corval to partner with EVT - Entertainment | Ventures | Travel following acquisition of Sherwood Hotel Queenstown NZ   EVT has entered into a new hotel management agreement to operate the Sherwood Hotel in Queenstown from late November, following RF Corval’s acquisition of the property. Sherwood Hotel was founded 10 years ago by Queenstown based property investor and entrepreneur Adam Smith and will continue to be run by General Manager Hayley Scott together with Food and Beverage director Chris Scott. Peter Hill Director of Development – EVT Hotels and Resorts shared his excitement about the new partnership, “We are proud to have been selected as the operator of Sherwood Hotel Queenstown, a reflection of our agile and experienced management of hotels though our Independent Collection, especially ones as unique as Sherwood. Landmark Cabarita Beach Hotel sold by HTL Property Brokered by HTL Property Directors Glenn Price and Blake Edwards on behalf of the McElhone Family the transaction represents the highest price paid for a coastal pub sold in 2024. “We are very grateful for the trust the McElhone family placed in Blake, myself and HTL; and are genuinely excited about their future away from the pub. In 2015, the hotel endured a devastating fire, but it has since undergone an extensive 12-month renovation, during which the entire internal of the hotel was restored. “An exciting period lies ahead with the new owner (Hakfoort Group) already underway with plans to renovate & reposition the offering, the Hakfoort Group have already commenced their repositioning strategy by immediately implementing a name change to the ‘Dalby Hotel’.   “With its solid foundation and future renovations, the property is well-positioned for future growth and new inclusions to maximise its potential,” concluded Mr Leon Alaban.
