Our destinations serve as important hubs for our communities, whether it’s in housing essential grocery stores or pharmacies, offering Australia’s largest collection of luxury retail brands, or providing a spot to share a bite with family and friends with places to dine offering cuisine from every corner of the planet. Our destinations are evolving, delivering an unparalleled data-led retail mix to offer new experiences to maintain their market-leading positions. We’re on an exciting journey to shaping meaningful places where communities connect. We manage over 2.5-million square metres of leasable space and with such a large footprint, we know our commitment to sustainability can have a real impact on the everyday lives of our communities. Our sustainability journey is never-ending but to date has seen us focus on social sustainability in the form of a Modern Slavery Statement and responsible procurement policies, and on environmental sustainability with our market-leading $75-million investment in solar energy systems at more than 20 destinations nationally, and waste reduction practices. With so much going on, change is the only constant at Vicinity, and we love it!

Have you ever seen a hoarding activated? When it comes to finding great spaces for retailers to activate in our centres, our Mall Leasing team explore every opportunity. They've leased common mall space, rooftops and now hoardings. With Pokémon collectible company, POP Attack, looking for a suitable space to position its Pokémon card vending machines, the team looking after Elizabeth City Centre in South Australia, identified a blank hoarding that could be utilised for a three-month period. A small space in a great location, the machines were live in double quick time with the initial conversation with POP Attack to the activation's installation taking less than a week! Mall leasing spaces can be an ideal first step into physical retail and help foster a closer connection between brands and their customers. CHANEL brings the festive cheer to Chadstone's luxury precinct. One of the most memorable and impressive mall leasing activations to feature at our centres, CHANEL's Winter Tale invites customers to enter the brand's world, pause for a festive photo op, and find the perfect gift from a selection of exclusive fragrances, dazzling makeup products, and ultra-sensorial skincare products. National Brand Space Manager, Laryssa Johnston said: "Two major brands in CHANEL and Chadstone, with multiple people across both teams working towards the same goal was very rewarding, and the result is the unmissable - the CHANEL Winter Tale event, in the luxury precinct." #Vicinity #ShoppingCentres #Leasing #BrandSpace

Emporium Melbourne’s leading stable of home-grown designers is bolstered with the opening of a Lana Wilkinson short-term pop-up. Boasting the largest collection under one roof, Emporium Melbourne is the home of premium Australian designers, both long established and more recently launched brands. Focused on delivering property excellence for customers, Emporium Melbourne’s leasing team identified Lana Wilkinson as a great fit for the centre and worked with the designer to understand her aspirations for growth. Transitioning from online to a permanent store front can be a big leap so the team worked with Lana Wilkinson to identify a well-positioned pop-up space to help incubate the brand with the fashion-conscious Emporium Melbourne community, aiming for a potential permanent opportunity in the future. Melbourne-born Wilkinson is a renowned stylist who has turned her hand to shoe design, establishing one of Australia’s most exciting emerging brands. Vicinity Leasing Executive, Danielle Nohra said "Lana Wilkinson will be open for the two weeks leading up to Christmas and joins a long list of Australian brands including Scanlan Theodore, Aje, Zimmerman, and Kookai, who have in recent years consolidated their CBD footprint into Emporium Melbourne." "We can’t wait to see where Lana’s journey takes her and the brand." That’s a wrap on this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Campaign but our focus continues. As members of the Champions of Change Coalition and in support of UN Women Australia's SAFE. EVERYWHERE. ALWAYS campaign, Vicinity acknowledged this year’s 16 Days of Activism with media screens at all centres and orange illuminations at Mandurah Forum, Chadstone and QueensPlaza. Led by our Gender Balance Employee Advocacy Group, Vicinity’s support of the 16 Days of Activism campaign also extended to our Chief People and Organisational Development Officer, Tanya Southey hosting Professor Kate Fitz-Gibbon on our guest speaker series and extending old mobile phone donations through DV Safe Phone to our staff members to supplement the more than $13,000 of phones already donated by Vicinity since 2023. Supporting our raising awareness of the campaign are also important changes to Vicinity’s Family and Domestic Violence Policy, extending the period of leave for those directly impacted by family and domestic violence and for those who are supporting close relatives of those impacted. Ever wondered how a shopping centre space can be completely transformed and what exactly happens behind those hoardings? That’s where Vicinity’s Leasing Design and Delivery team, led by Simon Nicholas, comes in, and over at Rockingham Centre, WA, they’ve been busy recently. Aside from supporting multiple new dining and entertainment openings on the centre’s popular Syren St precinct, the team also helped resize an important space and transform it into a large, warehouse style gym for Revo Fitness. To learn about the story, process and what it’s like to work in Leasing Design and Delivery, read the interview with Tenancy Delivery Manager, James Elphick via our Newsroom. https://lnkd.in/gAzS6W6D [Image descriptions: interior of a large warehouse space under construction; freshly opened Revo Fitness at Rockingham Centre with large green floor and gym equipment] #Vicinity #Leasing #ShoppingCentres

The festive season is a magical time for many but for some it can prove overwhelming. In our commitment to shape meaningful places where communities connect, at a number of our centres across the country we’re rolling out inclusive Christmas experiences, helping those that find it all too much still enjoy the magic. A handful of experiences include: 📍 At Eastlands, Tasmania, sensory Santa photo experience is on offer, allowing customers to book 10-minute photo slots early or late to avoid the crowds. 📍 At Grand Plaza, Queensland, sensory Santa experiences are on offer before 9am as well as an Auslan Santa trialled for the first time. 📍 Over in Western Australia, Lakeside Joondalup ran sensory Santa photos in partnership with the Autism Association of WA in the lead up to Christmas trade. 📍 In New South Wales, Warriewood Square kicks off its sensory Santa photo session today, meanwhile in Victoria, Bayside and The Glen have also organised sensory Santa opportunities that have proved popular with the community. But, what about your fur babies? That’s all in hand at Bayside and Lakeside Joondalup with both centres also putting on Santa photo opportunities for pets of the community. Have you booked your photo this year?
