📢 Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire – 06 et 07 Novembre 2024 – nous avons procédé lancement du programme "Sécurité Alimentaire de la Fourche à la Fourchette" (#SAFAF) 🇨🇮cette initiative a été dévoilée lors d'un #Business #Forum de haut niveau, marquant une étape cruciale vers l'inclusion économique et le #développement #durable. Le programme a été officiellement lancé par S.E.M Dr.Souleymane Diarrassouba, Ministre du Commerce, de l'Industrie et de la Promotion des PME, en présence de S.E.M Me Francesca Di Mauro, Ambassadrice de l'#Union #Européenne en #Côte #d'#Ivoire. #SAFAF est le fruit d'une collaboration sans précédent entre l'#UE, le #Gouvernement de #Côte d'#Ivoire représenté par l’#OCPV (Office d'Aide à la Commercialisation des Produits Vivriers) et LadyAgri Impact Investment HUB et, garanti que les #femmes et les #jeunes disposent des outils, des connaissances et des infrastructures nécessaires pour prospérer sur les marchés vivriers. Grâce aux partenariats initiés par LadyAgri Impact Investment HUB auprès des banques et institutions financieres, le programme #SAFAF mobilise les services financiers ciblés et des innovations numériques et créations de nouvelles opportunités pour les femmes et jeunes de développer leurs entreprises, coopératives et de renforcer leurs communautés. 📢 Last Thursday, we hosted our annual awareness-raising conference in partnership with Ville de Bruxelles - Stad Brussel, focusing on #Women, #Peace, and #FoodSecurity. We were deeply honored by the presence of Colette Braeckman, Le Soir an award-winning journalist who shared powerful and poignant stories about the #invisibility of #women in #conflict zones across #Africa and the #Middle #East. Her accounts shed light on the often overlooked struggles and resilience of women amidst chaos and warfare. LadyAgri Impact Investment HUB team presented their frontline research on the impact of conflict and escalating food insecurity in the #Sahel region. They provided firsthand accounts from #BurkinaFaso, #Togo, and our most recent program in #CôtedIvoire, illustrating the harsh realities faced by communities and the critical role women play in sustaining them. 🎤 In a profoundly moving session, Haneen Abu Nahla shared her honest and harrowing journey fleeing Gaza with her four children. She spoke of the agonizing decisions she had to make as a mother and highlighted how war and famine are inextricably linked, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable. 🤝 The conclusion of our debate was unequivocal: there is an urgent need for more women in #leadership roles, greater #visibility, and #recognition of women's crucial contributions to food security, peace, and the building of #sustainable #foodsystems. We must create opportunities for young people to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation. Achieving this demands long-term #leadership with more women at the decision-making tables. The shared stories from diverse geographies underscored a common truth: women, mothers, and girls need maximum support. This includes access to #vocational #training, #agripreneurship skills, and a strong voice in decision-making at all levels of society.
