New AI project to boost EU security and maritime monitoring 🛰️ 🌊 Magellan Circle is proud to announce the start of the new #HorizonEurope project AI4COPSEC integrating state-of-the-art AI solutions with data from the Copernicus satellite programme to address urgent environmental and security challenges. Officially started on 1 December 2024, the AI4COPSEC project will roll over 36 months and is coordinated by Simula Research Laboratory from Norway while eOdyn acts as technical coordinator uniting a diverse consortium of ten partners from seven European countries. The Magellan Circle team was happy to participate at the New European Bauhaus Cluster Meeting which took place on 28 and 29 November 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal. Representing the Bauhaus of the Seas Sails project, our team joined the six NEB lighthouse projects's representatives as well as the project officer and policy officer from CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and JRC to discuss key joint topics. The two day meeting focused on the progress of NEB Lighthouse projects and legacy planning to ensure sustainable impacts and cross-community collaboration. Additionally, Bauhaus of the Seas Sails visits in Lisbon and Oeiras pilots highlighted the role of creative processes in driving territorial innovation, featuring pilot projects that integrate artistic, environmental, and community-led approaches for transforming the Tagus River region. #NewEuropeanBauhaus #sustainability #oceans #HorizonEurope

On 26 November, the Magellan Circle participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the SEMAS-EMSWe Project, hosted in Valencia, Spain. This innovative project brings together seven EU Member States - #Italy, #Finland, #Portugal, #Slovenia, #Spain, #Sweden, and the #Netherlands - with the common mission to advance the implementation of the European Maritime Single Window Environment (EMSWe). By improving the exchange of information within the maritime sector, SEMAS-EMSWe aims to increase efficiency and cooperation between European ports.
