✨ 2024: A Milestone Year for the #SESAR Deployment Manager CNS Team ✨ As we close out 2024, the team is proud to reflect on a year of remarkable progress. Together, we’ve made strides in modernizing European aviation, delivering added value to stakeholders, and laying the foundation for a resilient and sustainable future. 🔹 2024 Achievements: In response to the overwhelming interest in CNS topics under the CEF2023 Call, the CNS team was established—and the results are tangible: ✅ €60M in co-funding secured for CNS initiatives, with €140M total for projects modernizing infrastructure and advancing CP1 functionalities. ✅ Successful launch of CLEAN ATM 2 and GREEN CNS, aligning innovation with EU sustainability goals. ✅ Strategic support for the CEF2024 Bid Preparation team, helping draft a robust proposal addressing critical aviation challenges: • Strengthening GNSS jamming and spoofing resilience through security-hardening and detection measures. • Safeguarding data-link capacity to ensure seamless communications for airspace users. • Supporting the EU’s U-space ecosystem with foundational drone services, vertiport sandboxes, and integrated airspace operations. We also took steps towards the definition of the European CNS Evolution Plan, as well as co-creating the design and criteria for the European Minimal Operational Network (MON), next to CNS PM colleagues, ensuring that the operational stakeholders are well represented at the heart of efforts to shape the roadmap for CNS advancements through 2026–2050 🔮 Looking Ahead: As we carry the momentum into 2025, the SDM CNS team will: 📌 Coordinate and monitor large-scale CNS infrastructure renewal projects funded by CEF2023 and CEF2024. 📌 Support CNS PM in addressing ATM/CNS challenges, including network-level MON integration with Member States. 📌 Promote and support the development of standards and industrialization efforts on the path towards Integrated CNS By working #AsOne #team with stakeholders, our mission remains clear: to deploy #efficient, #safe, and #sustainable #aviation for Europe. 💡 Delivering Tangible Benefits At the heart of everything we do at SESAR Deployment Manager CNS Team is a commitment to real, measurable impact—whether through cutting-edge technologies, enhanced safety, or advancing sustainability goals. ✈️  Our #SESAR #deployment Implementing Partner Groupe ADP, owner and manager of the Parisian airports Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget, provided an in-depth view on SESAR deployment projects to the European Commission & CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency during an online 'visit'.  ✅ The successfully completed SESAR deployment projects refer to the implementation of an initial Airport Operations Plan at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly, Network Collaborative Management, the improvement of information exchange within the framework of System Wide Information Management #SWIM in #ATM and the update of a database tool including aeronautical information and geographical data. 🙏 A big thank you to all partners involved in these projects: Groupe ADP, Direction Generale de l'Aviation Civile and EUROCONTROL. #AsOne #team for #ATM #modernisation #SESARdelivers

We had a busy month for the #ASMSWIM project, with workshops organised in Sweden and Portugal where #LARA functionalities, #Civil-#Military Cooperation and integration in the #SWIM backbone infrastructure were discussed. Our talks continued in Brussels, where our 2024 Yearly Meeting brought together the project's participants and #SDM to reflect on the status of their activities and their vision towards EU CP1 regulatory deadlines. Some of our members, like the #COOPANS Alliance bring a collaborative approach towards the implementation of their new ATM system, hence, regular meetings, like our recent workshop with their members and their ATM system provider #Thales, are key to foster the dialogue and common understanding across all involved actors. Working together we ensure a timely implementation of Airspace Management support support systems in the future SWIM environment, enabling an efficient Civil-Military Cooperation in Europe.
