💡Innovative Lösungen im Tourismus inspiriert von TourX Am 8.10. gab es einen Workshop mit den Tourismusverantwortlichen des Landkreises Spree-Neiße/Wokrejs Sprjewja-Nysa. Intensiv haben wir uns in der Arbeitsgruppe Tourismus mit den Themen Aktivtourismus und Digitaliserung auseinandergesetzt. Darüber wurde aber auch über eines der drängendsten Themen unserer Branche diskutiert: den Fachkräftemangel im Tourismus.  Inspiriert durch die Zusammenarbeit im Projekt TourX möchten wir ein spannendes Projekt auf den Weg bringen, welches bereits in den Schulen für die vielfältigen Berufsmöglichkeiten im Tourismus begeistern soll.  Nur mit frischen, mutigen Ideen und der aktiven Zusammenarbeit von Schulen, Betrieben und Tourismusorganisationen können wir neue Wege gehen und junge Talente für unsere Branche gewinnen! A key highlight was the workshop“𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐠𝐞: 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦-𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬”, moderated by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐬, which showcased how tourism can enhance senior care, promote active aging, and foster community integration. Aligned with 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐲, the symposium demonstrated the potential of 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠. Updates from the TourX Project! 🏝️ On Wednesday 31st July, the 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗫 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 joined for a monthly Online Meeting, with the aim of reviewing progress on the various Work Packages. 💼 The meeting provided an update on the overall 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 activities, including a review of timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Key focus areas were ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any emerging challenges. 💡 An update on 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟮 - 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 was presented, highlighting the organization of a 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 in November. 🚀 Discover the Impact of Digitalisation on Tourism: Empowering SMEs 🚀 ⭐️ On July 8th, as part of the activities of TourX project, European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), and European Vocational Training Association - EVTA co-organized a conference to explore challenges and opportunities surrounding the #digitaltransformation of the tourism sector, with an emphasis on the pivotal role of skills development & #vocationaltraining. 🗣️Ms. Isabel Yglesias Julià, member of the European Social and Economic Committee highlighted the need for digitalization to foster a sustainable and competitive tourism sector, emphasising the Palma Declaration. 🗣️Mr. Felix Rohn from the European Commission’s DG Employment noted, “If you can make the customer happy, digitalization enhances your business,” stressing the importance of upskilling the workforce. 🗣️Mr. Stefan Moritz, Secretary General of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME advocated for in-house development and work-based learning to enhance employer attractiveness and job-specific skills. During the following panel discussion, interesting insight raised from different perspectives: 🇪🇺 Ms. Misa Labarile, PhD Labarile from the European Commission's DG GROW highlighted the Commission’s 'soft approach,' focusing on funds, policy coordination, and best practices, alongside the need for regional data systems. 🗺️ Ms. Valeria Tudisco from the regional perspective, discussed the approach adopted at the regional level,  promoting cultural activities and supporting over 2,000 operators in Umbria region, many lacking digital skills. 💬 From the perspective of the VET experts, Ms. Sytske Valk from Katapult and Ms. Clara Agostini Campista from EVTA emphasised the priority of integrating digital skills in VET schools to attract technologically skilled individuals. They also highlighted the importance of green and digital skills for SMEs, noting funding challenges and the necessity of skills development for visibility and adaptation. 📝 Geographical location and lack of necessary technical competences strongly affect the way tourism enterprises respond to digitalisation.
