Our 2025 Environmental Impact Grant responds to the urgency of both the biodiversity and climate crises as well as advancing the circular economy. It is because of these challenges that we offer funding to a variety of organizations doing important work in Alberta. 2024 HIGHLIGHTS - Caribbean Trade Mission Our Canada-Caribbean Microgrids Summit in Nassau in March 2024 was a unique collaboration between DEC, the Rocky Mountain Institute, Global Affairs Canada and the Government of The Bahamas. Canadian microgrid experts met with the Honorable Philip Davis, Prime Minister of the Bahamas, and several Caribbean microgrid stakeholders, such as community planners, hotel and tourism businesses, universities, and government to provide valuable capacity building support for microgrid projects in the Caribbean.
