The global #PlasticsTreaty was not signed at the #INC5 meeting in Busan. This interview with Ellen MacArthur points out three (3) key issues the treaty seeks to address. 1. Phase-out of Problematic Plastic Products 2. Phase-out of Chemicals of Concern in Plastics 3. Extended Producer Responsibility Additionally, the treaty also aims to address the following; Reduce plastic pollution, Promote sustainable production and consumption, Safer circular economy environment, and Protect vulnerable populations against plastic manufacturers.
