The holidays gave us a chance to unplug, relax, and make lasting memories. Here's a peek at what some of the Edwards Land team got up to: 🎄 Ryan Atkins celebrated the season at a festive holiday party with good friends. 🏒 Adam Spackman wrapped up the year celebrating his daughter’s 8th birthday at the Flames vs. Canucks game! 🎅 Kaydree Cervo watched her daughter Maizy show her holiday bravery by sitting with Santa and Mrs. Claus. ✨ Sarah Potts shared the magic of the season, taking her kids to see the stunning lights at Glow. 🏡 Phuong Phan enjoyed a peaceful holiday at home, decorating the Christmas tree and preparing a traditional Vietnamese meal. 🧖♀️ Lauren Macready unwound with some hydrotherapy at Kananaskis Nordic Spa. ✨ Meet Kaitlyn Roy, Land Analyst, and the newest addition to our team! ✨   Kaitlyn is relatively new to the industry, and she brings enthusiasm and dedication to make her a perfect fit.   🎓 Education: Kaitlyn holds a degree from Dalhousie University and completed her Land Administration course at SAIT. 💼 Experience: Previously, she worked in-house, and now she’s diving into the broker side of the energy business for the first time.   🗣️ Why Edwards Land? “Every day looks different here, and I love the chance to learn in such a supportive environment with an amazing team.” She’s particularly excited to dive into areas like First Nations Consultation and stakeholder relations while exploring all the opportunities her role has to offer.   🎨 Outside of work, Kaitlyn is a talented ceramics artist who loves cycling, running, and losing herself in a great book. 🚧 Our commitment to health and safety is a team effort—and our Joint Health and Safety Committee (HSC) is at the heart of it all. 💪   This dedicated group works tirelessly to identify and resolve safety concerns, promote a safe work environment, and ensure seamless communication between our team and leadership. Meet the members of our HSC:   🔹 Brent Sakamoto, QHSO – Manager, HSE & Tenant Fire Warden 🔹 Adam Spackman – Manager, Surface Land Operations 🔹 Amílcar Leonardo Mojica Pradilla – Surface Land Analyst & Deputy Fire Warden 🔹 Kaydree Cervo – Land Analyst   What Does the HSC Do? Our HSC goes above and beyond to make safety a priority:   🛠️ Identifies and resolves workplace hazards to protect every team member. 📊 Develops and monitors corrective actions to ensure safety measures are effective. 🗂️ Maintains critical health and safety records while staying up-to-date on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation. 🕵️ Participates in inspections and investigations to ensure compliance and safety. 📣 Promotes OHS training and education to build a culture of awareness.   From regular worksite inspections to quarterly meetings, our HSC members are champions of workplace safety.
