What sets me apart is the blend of my Indigenous heritage with professional expertise, offering a unique perspective that honours traditional knowledge alongside contemporary clinical practices. With me, your wellness pathway is culturally attuned, personalized, and steeped in practices that have supported healing for generations. In essence, I am here to walk side by side with you, leveraging my education and professional experience to facilitate your personal growth and healing—all within a framework that resonates deeply with your cultural values and beliefs. 🌿✨ Yesterday, I found myself in the heart of a transformative conversation at the Calgary Women's Immigrant Association, surrounded by women whose voices echoed strength and resilience. The roundtable discussion on gender-based violence was a powerful reminder of the shared journey many of us walk. Each story and voice was a testament to the courage it takes to speak up and the healing power of community. Sitting there, I was reminded why I founded Flower In The Wind Therapy. It's about creating spaces where stories are heard and healing begins. In those moments of shared vulnerability and strength, I saw the potential for change. Together, we can build a community where healing and empowerment are not just dreams but realities. Thank you to the incredible women who shared their stories and everyone who continues fighting against gender-based violence. Let's keep lifting each other up and driving change. 💪❤️ #Empowerment #CommunityHealing #GenderEquality #genderbasedviolence #FlowerInTheWindTherapy

🌿 Reflecting on Balance: Honouring Our Ancestors' Wisdom 🌟 In today's fast-paced world, losing sight of the values that truly ground us is easy. As I navigate the journey of life and my work at Flower In The Wind Therapy, I often find solace in the teachings of Opikinawasowin, the "child rearing way" rooted deeply in Cree and Métis traditions. This framework isn’t just about raising children; it’s about nurturing spirits and fostering community ties that ensure our cultural roots remain strong. Incorporating these traditional teachings into therapy has been transformative. They remind us of who we are and where we come from, providing a compass in uncertain times. 🌿 Balancing my roles—between contracts, private practice, in Flower In The Wind Therapy—requires intention and respect for these teachings. It's a dance of honouring the past while embracing the present, ensuring the wisdom of our ancestors guides future generations. 🌟 How do you incorporate traditional teachings into your daily life? I'd love to hear your thoughts and stories. Let's honour our roots together. 🌿 #flowerinthewindtherapy #indigenoustherapist #mentalwellness #indigenouswellness #IndigenousWisdom #MetisValues #CreeTeachings #CulturalContinuity --- Samaria Nancy Cardinal Owner & Lead Indigenous Therapy Specialist Flower In The Wind Therapy 🌬️ --- Feel free to reach out for a 15-minute consultation or connect to learn more about our culturally competent therapeutic approaches. 🌟 Be the Change You Wish to See in Your Community 🌟 As I sit here, reflecting on my journey with Flower In The Wind Therapy in 2024, I am reminded of the teachings from my Blackfoot-Metis heritage: to walk this earth softly with kindness, compassion, and empathy. These values are the foundation of my practice and my life. If you long for a world with less negativity, lateral violence, and discrimination, it starts with us. It begins with being leaders in our lives, showing kindness when it's hard, offering compassion when it's scarce, and standing up for respect in every interaction. To those reading this, I'd like to invite you to reflect on your own journey. How can you be the change in your community? It doesn't have to be grand gestures; sometimes, the quietest actions have the loudest echoes. Let's walk this path together with kindness, empathy, and respect for all our relations, including Mother Earth. 🌍 Thank you for being part of this journey. Let's make a difference, one step at a time. #Flowerinthewindtherapy #indigenoustherapist #mentalwellness #indigenouswellness #bethechangeyouwishtosee #leadership
