Lights, Camera, Energy Savings! 🎬💰 As National Energy Saving Week continues, we're broadening the conversation to highlight ways we can save energy on set, cut down emissions, and save on bills. We asked some of our Studio Sustainability Standard members to share their top tips on saving energy in the studio 💡🔌🔋:    ▪️Install lighting systems with motion detectors in all shared areas and Implement LED smart lighting controlled by PIR sensors that automatically switch off lights when areas are unoccupied. ▪️Transition to low-energy LED bulbs across all areas to significantly reduce electricity usage. ▪️Invest in solar panels to embrace renewable energy and reduce reliance on non-renewable sources. ▪️Utilising on-site wind turbines can meet a substantial portion of electricity needs with green, real-time generated power, reducing grid dependency. ▪️Opt for green energy suppliers to ensure that all studio electricity is environmentally friendly. ▪️Place clear signage throughout the studio to remind staff and visitors of energy-saving practices. ▪️Install EV charging points to support the use of electric vehicles by studio members and visitors. ▪️Extend grid power to outdoor areas to eliminate the need for fossil fuel generators, ensuring all productions can use green energy.   Thank you to RD Studios Paramount Great Point Studios-Seren Bad Wolf Maidstone Studios for sharing your tips with us! Our hearts go out to all those affected by the California wildfires. The violent impacts of climate change are quickly eroding daily reality for many around the world. There is a long road ahead. Our response to these disasters is critical and includes the longer term, more difficult changes we need to make. This is a time for compassion, healing, support and rebuilding.
