The best way to achieve goals is by turning big goals into smaller steps that everyone involved can visualize and clearly understand. Visual Milestones is a template that helps teams share a common vision of how they will achieve success. As a leader, what actions should you take when someone reports toxic behavior that’s harming them and the rest of the team? What should you do—and what should you avoid? How can you encourage your team to self-evaluate their work, critically assess ideas, and feel comfortable discussing and disagreeing? One effective approach is the "Red Team vs. Blue Team" framework, which helps teams quickly analyze a proposal or idea from contrasting perspectives. #collaboration #discussions #teamwork

🌟 "A good leader is brave." — Our CEO, Ro Fernandez, believes that true leadership means having the courage to create systems where teams can make decisions independently and thrive together. 🚀 Instead of focusing on whether their initial "tomato plants" produce exactly as envisioned, great leaders nurture the environment, empowering growth beyond what they could imagine. Where micromanagers see only their own potential, great leaders know that the future is built by connected, trusted, and empowered minds. At Nova, this belief drives everything we do—for our team and our clients. What do you think makes a great leader? 👇 #Leadership #GrowthMindset #TeamEmpowerment

A key meeting principle for me is "Don’t let fears stand in your way." This principle often requires clarification, and I would love to hear your thoughts about it, because fear can take many shapes and forms... Fears in the workplace aren’t limited to concerns about getting started or making mistakes. They can also involve managers who lack trust in their teams, allowing their fears and past experiences to hold everyone back. These managers might feel the need to recheck every detail or reserve all final decision-making authority for themselves. This type of fear is the most detrimental because it not only slows down the team and lets opportunities slip by, but it also stifles the team’s confidence and willingness to act independently. This erodes one of a company’s greatest competitive advantages — its collective intelligence, leaving everything up to one-single perspective. Meetings in which micromanagers are either present or where decisions depend on their final say often resemble teaching someone a game for the first time with all the cards exposed, explaining every move. It drags on, and no one is truly engaged; everyone just waits for the "micromanager" to understand and decide when to begin. This approach results in three times the number of meetings, slower decision-making, and a team that feels it lacks autonomy or purpose. Over time, team members may become hesitant to make any decisions independently, even on small matters, for fear of overstepping boundaries. If great leadership has one key lesson to learn, it’s bravery — the courage to build systems and environments where teams can make decisions independently and make genuine progress. Great leaders focus less on whether the “tomato plants” they envisioned will produce the exact tomatoes they imagined, and more on nurturing the environment so that these plants can flourish beyond their initial expectations. While a bad manager, or “micromanager,” can only see what they themselves can accomplish, great managers understand that the future takes shape when multiple minds are connected, trusted, and empowered to create “together.” You can read more at " Essential Principles for Leading Productive Meetings That Drive Team Success — My Personal List" https://lnkd.in/gevMDezi

Find the manager who believes in you more than you do. Here's what to look out for: It's easy to doubt ourselves and our abilities. But doubts and fears can prevent us from growing. Imagine working with someone who sees beyond you: → beyond your previous roles → beyond your previous mistakes → beyond your previous achievements Someone who recognises who you are still to become. Here are 7 signs that they are that manager: 1/ They help you articulate your personal aspirations ↳ They prompt you to think bigger for yourself 2/ They help you make a plan for how to achieve them ↳ They work with you to create a clear roadmap 3/ They help you link your aspirations to your role ↳ They ask you how your role advances your goals 4/ They expose you to things you'd doubt yourself with ↳ They push you beyond your comfort zone 5/ They help you identify skill gaps without judgement ↳ They discuss your development areas in a safe way 6/ They provide training and support beyond your role ↳ They encourage you to invest in your areas of interest 7/ They remind you of your potential when you doubt it ↳ They constantly give you words of encouragement The right manager can magnify your confidence. Confidence leads to taking on new challenges. New challenges lead to growth and success. Who believed in you more than you did? Pls tag them below and share your story. ---------------------------------------------------- ♻️ Repost to encourage these behaviours in managers. ➕ Follow Mica Vaipan for more on how to bring out the best in yourself and the people you lead.
