Community coming together to support community! #OBOT was proud to join Invest Ottawa and ecosystem partners in support of another Let's Tech Together event, this time in support of local mental health organizations supported by #BellLetsTalk. There is a direct connection between a thriving community and our city’s economy. We know that mental health and wellbeing and economic growth must be part of the same conversation to create a strong and resilient community for all Ottawa residents.
The Power of Our Community Tonight, my heart was full. We kicked off the new year by celebrating our community as a community. This included the amazing tech founders and companies, mainstreet business owners, innovators, investors, students, post-secondary leaders, tourism, hospital and public service professionals who collectively fuel our economy, industry and quality of life. Sincere thanks to everyone who joined our third collaborative community-building event, 'Let's Tech Together' at the beautiful Starling Restaurant in Ottawa's iconic Byward Market. It was an evening that reinforced the impact of our community and the opportunity at powerful intersections of diverse people, companies, sectors, disciplines and backgrounds. It brought together amazing humans from every corner of Canada's Capital Region and built on our commitment to OBOT's Downtown Revitalization Strategy. And all for a great cause: Local mental health organizations supported by Bell Let's Talk. And we can't wait to do it again this April! Special thanks to Zachary Dayler, Exec Director of the ByWard Market District Authority and his team, our generous sponsor Jones DesLauriers, Starling for creating an incredible experience, and all amazing ecosystem partners: • Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology • Carleton University • Capital Angel Network • Innovation Gatineau • Invest Ottawa • Kanata North Business Association • Collège La Cité • Launch Labs • L-SPARK Startup Accelerator 🇨🇦 • OCOBIA • Ottawa Tourism • Ottawa Board of Trade • Queen's University • St. Lawrence College • Techopia - Ottawa Business Journal • University of Ottawa • Wesley Clover And huge thanks to IO stars Audrey Willsey, Avery Dick and Emma Myers Looking to learn more about our global tech hub?
