We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Landesa! 🎉 Alarmingly, 50% of mangrove ecosystems are at risk of collapse. With Asia hosting 40% of the world's mangrove forests, Landesa has identified six priority countries in South and Southeast Asia (India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia) which require IMMEDIATE action. 🏝️ Through this partnership, we will scale Landesa's ambitious 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 (𝗖𝗟𝗠𝗣) by supporting the organisation to foster policy reforms and enhance land governance at local, national, and regional levels. By 2032, CLMP aims to protect and restore 4.6 million hectares (~30% of global mangrove forests & 78% of all mangroves in South and Southeast Asia), mitigate 943 MtCO2 per year, and benefit over 73 million people across these countries. We are inspired and motivated to welcome Landesa to our expanding Environment portfolio in India! Learn more here: https://bit.ly/418R4wU #Conservation #Mangroves #VenturePhilanthropy

Great news from our Environment portfolio! 🌊🐠 The Republic of the Marshall Islands has created its first-ever national marine sanctuary, protecting two of the most pristine ecosystems in the Pacific Ocean around Bikar and Bokak atolls. Covering 48,000 square kilometers, this sanctuary will protect marine ecosystems while supporting local communities. Guided by the Marshallese tradition of Reimaanlok (which means “look towards the future”), the creation of this marine sanctuary was supported by our partners at National Geographic Society’s Pristine Seas, who worked alongside local scientists to gather data that helped guide the sanctuary’s design. Congratulations on this fantastic development for the conservation of our oceans! We are proud to work with partners that work tirelessly to take action to address the world’s most pressing issues, helping both ecosystems and communities to thrive. We are pleased to announce that we are extending our multi-year partnership with Last Mile Health! Last Mile Health (LMH) improves access to quality healthcare in underserved communities by partnering with governments to equip and deploy Community Health Workers (CHWs) to provide essential health services in the world’s most remote areas. LMH also offers technical assistance and conducts global advocacy to mobilise support for community-based healthcare systems. Our ongoing collaboration will strengthen Liberia’s National Community Health Programme and enhance government-led community healthcare delivery. We will also work together to bolster LMH’s capacity to secure and influence funding for Africa’s community healthcare systems. In addition, we will focus on operational research and evaluation efforts that provide valuable insights for policymakers and funders, ensuring that decisions are guided by data and evidence. We are proud to work with partners like LMH — who champion locally-led solutions to benefit the world's most vulnerable communities and truly set the vision of #HealthForAll into motion — as a part of our Health portfolio. 🩺🌍 Find out more about Last Mile Health in the video, and about our partnership here: https://bit.ly/4jARrIP #GlobalHealth #VenturePhilanthropy #CommunityHealthWorkers
