At 𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐬, we aim to uphold article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) – the right to education because we believe education uplifts, inspires, and creates lasting change. Our approach centres on 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, and 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, reflecting our belief that education is not only a pathway to knowledge but also a tool for achieving 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, and 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. Through capacity development and learner-centred programmes, we aim to create spaces where human rights are respected, and everyone is equipped to lead with purpose and confidence. At Paeradigms, we are passionate about realising human potential through education and lifelong learning. We focus on transformational outcomes that lead to social change, economic impact and human development. Our organisation has a dual structure: The first pillar is a Swiss-based, social enterprise registered as a Limited Liability Company (LLC), offering expertise on all education and learning activities undertaken throughout life. Our experience ranges from institution building, curriculum development and teaching to quality assurance, communications and gender mainstreaming. We co-create projects, offer specific expertise, join midway to provide backstopping, or conduct a final evaluation. Our partners include GIZ (Germany), UKAID (UK), and the Union for the Mediterranean. The second pillar of Paeradigms is an NGO that implements education projects funded by development agencies and foundations – or realised through our own resources to share knowledge and contribute to social transformation. In both capacities, we emphasise participation, consensus and ownership. We believe that only co-creation inspires real learning and lasting change. Paeradigms has a small full-time team, supplemented by a large network of professionals with diversity in gender, ethnicity, geography, language skills, academic background, and field experience around the globe. Project teams are flexibly assembled to create the best fit for the project at hand. Let’s work together to change our world through the power of education.

With over 40 participants from diverse sectors, the event explored innovative strategies for aligning educational programmes with the realities of local labour markets in developing countries. 𝐃𝐫 Jamelia Harris, keynote speaker and Economist from the University of Warwick's Institute for Employment Research, highlighted critical challenges, including underemployment, skills mismatches, and the limitations of traditional educational models. Drawing from her research on Sierra Leone, she emphasised the need for policies tailored to local labour market demands, continuous monitoring of programme outcomes, and addressing funding and donor-priority constraints. The 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 included discussions on: - Challenges and gaps in current initiatives. - Lessons from international and localized interventions. - The role of higher education, TVET, and entrepreneurship in bridging the skills gap. - The impact of informality and precarity on economic stability and conflict. Participants also shared their perspectives on improving programme design and fostering collaboration between education systems and employment sectors. Interactive Q&A sessions highlighted the scope for localisation and community involvement to create sustainable impacts. The session concluded with reflections on: - Acknowledging the stigma around TVET and working with communities to reverse it. -Addressing the skills gap by aligning study programmes with industry needs. -Cross-country learning, especially South-South learning to create local job opportunities and reduce brain drain. 💭 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐭𝐨-𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬? 🌍🔬 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭! 🌟✨ Today, we join the global community in celebrating the power of science to drive positive change. Established by UNESCO and marked annually on 10 November, this day highlights the crucial role of science in promoting peace, sustainable development, and a brighter future for all. At Paeradigms, we’re deeply committed to using scientific innovation to tackle global challenges like climate change, poverty, and social inequality. We believe in the power of 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚—sharing knowledge and insights to create more informed decisions, accelerate progress toward the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and build a fairer, more peaceful world. Our efforts to raise awareness of the role of science in education include workshops for higher education professionals on integrating technical and transversal green skills into teaching and research (2024) in partnership with the Union for the Mediterranean (𝐔𝐟𝐌) and 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 (INASP). These initiatives supported academia, policymakers, and industry in improving the employability of graduates and researchers. By equipping them with the skills to secure meaningful work or drive innovation in their local economies, we continue to contribute to sustainable development and inclusive growth. Let’s use today to reaffirm our collective dedication to leveraging science for the greater good! 💡🌱 Carol Switzer Nina Volles Jéssica Jossias #WorldScienceDay #PeaceAndDevelopment #OpenData #SustainableDevelopment #InnovationForEmployability #Paeradigms

𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐆 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 Two weeks ago, Paeradigms took part in the 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘕𝘖𝘙𝘙𝘈𝘎 𝘕𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 event, organised by RECI and NORRAG (Network for International Policies and Cooperation in Education and Training). 🌍💻 To support RECI, #Paeradigms continues to engage in global dialogues on education policy and cooperation. This event proved extremely valuable! NORRAG has developed a 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐩 that links its members – you can visualise your connections and those of your colleagues using advanced social network technology. It relies on users defining their connections and can help donors or implementers find experts in the regions where they work. 📚✨ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐆? NORRAG is the Global Education Centre of the Geneva Graduate Institute and has grown into a global network of over 5,800 members, working to promote international policies and cooperation in education and training. 🌐📊 Established in 1977 and primarily supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), NORRAG is recognised for its focus on quality and equity in education and development, particularly through amplifying under-represented voices, 𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡. 🌱🌏 NORRAG tackles important questions, such as: 🔹 How can data and evidence support the inclusion of marginalised groups? 🔹 How can equitable education intersect with other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? 🔹 How can innovations improve access, equity, and quality in education? 🔹 What role can the private sector play in enhancing equitable access to quality education? We encourage our partners to join this influential network and contribute to meaningful conversations and actions that aim to improve education outcomes worldwide through equitable partnerships. 🌟🤝 Carol Switzer Nina Volles Jéssica Jossias #PaeradigmsTeam #RECI #NORRAG #GlobalEducation #EquityAndInclusion #EducationForAll #SustainableDevelopment #InnovationInEducation #TheSouthAlsoKnows

🌟 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐬 🌟 This past weekend, Paeradigms hosted a special retreat at our headquarters in Gandria, Switzerland to welcome our newest board members Eva Kagiri, Boutheina Lassadi, Ph.D., Bart Fonteyne, and Joseph Hoffman coming from Kenya, Tunisia, Belgium, and Canada, respectively. Against the serene backdrop of Lake Lugano, the retreat provided an opportunity for our new members to immerse themselves in 𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐬' 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 while building strong connections with our existing board. The original board was composed of Nina Volles, Carol Switzer, Joseph mutale, and Gregor Walter-Drop. We have decided to open up the board to bring in trusted colleagues with diverse perspectives and expertise to help us reassess our strategy, reignite enthusiasm, and ensure long-term success. The agenda included focused discussions on 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, where we addressed key challenges, brainstormed new opportunities, aligned our vision, and set actionable goals that will drive the organisation forward. We are energised by the momentum generated during this retreat and look forward to implementing our new strategies. Thank you to all who participated and contributed to making this retreat a success! Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on the next phase of this journey together! 🚀 #Socialenterprise #Organisationalgrowth #Collaborativeinnovation #Paeradigmsimpact #StrategicPlanning #Leadership #Nonprofitleadership #BoardRetreat #TeamBuilding #BusinessStrategy #CompanyCulture #ActionableGoals

🔍 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 🔍 We take capacity development seriously, not just for our partners, but also within our own team. At Paeradigms, we recently conducted 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 on knowledge management, focusing on file management best practices and tools to help our team enhance their skills. Carol Switzer developed and led the workshops based on her experience with diverse organisations, frameworks, and platforms. She said, "An understandable file structure should make it easy for people to find the information they need. A good file structure should support the team properly; this is knowledge management.” 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 is key to driving impact and knowledge exchange. Effective knowledge management ensures that valuable insights, experiences, and best practices are captured, shared, and utilised across the organisation. An example of the material presented in the workshop is the well-known SECI framework, developed by Nonaka and Takeuchi, which explains how knowledge is created and shared within an organisation. It involves four key processes that enable continuous knowledge creation and management to strengthen learning within organisations. For networked organisations like #Paeradigms, knowledge management empowers teams and enhances decision-making. A special thanks to 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥, whose support in knowledge management aims to make processes smooth and effective for our core team and experts. 💡🌍 Nina Volles Jéssica Jossias Samin Senghaas #Knowledgemanagement #Ngoimpact #Socialenterprise #Organisationalgrowth #Sustainabledevelopment #Communityempowerment #Datadrivendecisions #Nonprofitleadership #Paeradigmsimpact #Bestpractices #Effectiveleadership #Collaborativeinnovation #Knowledgeispower #Socialchange
