With the valuable support from Cyprus Seeds our team's extensive work on the "Anthropomorhic Thorax with Moving Thoracic Phantoms" is steadily and surely moving towards commercialization... 👏 👏 Congrats to all the teams and looking forward to the journey!

On February 17th, we hosted a successful event at the Experience Center of PwC Cyprus, marking the official presentation of the new Cyprus Seeds teams for our 4th cycle. The event brought together key stakeholders from academia, business, and government to support research-driven innovation in Cyprus. 19 research teams from 13+ institutions applied, and following a rigorous selection process involving 21 expert evaluators from the US, UK, and Greece, we introduced five new projects and one continuing project from our previous cycle. The selected projects come from the following research organizations: ✔️ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, ✔️University of Cyprus, ✔️biobank.cy Center of Excellence in Biobanking and Biomedical Research. ✔️Frederick University ✔️The Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics More than 55 attendees joined us in person, while an additional 20 participants from the USA, UK, and Greece connected with us virtually, demonstrating the growing international interest in our mission.  The event was honored by distinguished guests, including: ✔️ Dr. Nikodimos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation & Digital Policy ✔️Theodoros Loukaidis, Director General, Ίδρυμα Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας/Research and Innovation Foundation ✔️Jeremy Downward, Board Member of The Hellenic Initiative & President of Cyprus Seeds, ✔️ The members of the Cyprus Seeds Board of Directors: Filippos Soseilos, Alexandra Weldon, Stavros Pantzaris ✔️ Representatives from leading academic and business institutions What’s next? Remarkable Event in Boston: Innovation, Sustainability, Growth 🌱 I had the pleasure of attending a live event organized by the Hellenic Innovation Network in Boston,a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, be inspired. It was incredible to hear from distinguished speakers who shared their insights on the startup ecosystem and the growing emphasis on sustainability. The discussions highlighted the importance of innovation in today’s rapidly changing world, focusing on creating sustainable solutions & fostering growth across borders. One of the key highlights was Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece, George Kotsiras George Kotsiras, who outlined a series of strategic initiatives to attract startups to Greece. His vision included efforts to motivate Greeks working abroad to return and contribute to the country’s growth—a perfect alignment with the Greek government’s broader strategy to build a thriving innovation ecosystem. Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist of Cyprus, positioned Cyprus as a leader in innovation with its impressive strides in research& development. It was fascinating to hear about the role of Ίδρυμα Έρευνας κ Καινοτομίας in Cyprus’ innovation agenda.Later, we had a panel featuring startup founders from Cyprus, moderated by Christina Karapataki, that focused on how innovation & research can drive sustainable business growth. The session between George Serafeim,Harvard Business School Professor and Dimitrios Papalexopoulos, Chairman of TitanCement, was especially inspiring.Their conversation shed light on the intersection of business and sustainability,offering valuable lessons for entrepreneurs & established leaders alike. I also want to highlight the incredible work of Cyprus Seeds represented by Maria Makridou& Margarita Kyprianoy. This nonprofit initiative supports top scientists & researchers in commercializing their innovative work and creating social impact. Eleni Kandaras, President of HCA and Harry Kandaras, CSG Talent Head of life sciences division in biotech. All these align closely with my work as a #professionalgrowth coach where I help individuals, teams,organizations unlock their potential and drive growth—both personally& professionally. As a coach dedicated to fostering personal& professional growth, I see a strong alignment between the growth strategies implemented in Greece & Cyprus and my work. By empowering individuals to develop leadership skills, adopt a growth mindset, and innovate in their careers, I’m proud to support the broader vision of Greece’s economic and business growth.
