Our very own Head of Brand & Design, Dave Gorman, had the honor to give a keynote and take part in a panel talk with Sükrü Cengil and Pierre Fautrel at the WE&AI Campus in the Autostadt. 🤖 Dave's keynote explored how generative AI tools can act as true partners in the creative process - amplifying human ingenuity rather than replacing it. What if every electric vehicle (EV) became a mobile power bank? 🔋 By 2030, #Europe could see 34 million EVs on the road—a massive opportunity for our renewable energy system, which urgently needs innovative storage solutions. Our vision at Elli is to manage #EVs as a vast, intelligent energy storage network. Charge your “power bank” when energy prices are low, use it to drive around, and with bidirectional charging, even sell energy back to the grid or provide valuable services. The potential is enormous. A new study by the Fraunhofer Institute highlights the transformative impact of bidirectional charging: 🌿 Virtual power plants: By 2040, EVs could supply up to 9% of Europe’s annual power needs—and up to 20% of peak electricity demand. 💶 Energy system savings: Bidirectional charging could reduce EU energy system costs by 8.6% annually by 2040. ☀️ Accelerating #renewables: It could enable an additional 430 GW of solar energy capacity, nearly doubling EU's current capacity. This is more than just a technological shift: it’s a revolution for both energy and mobility. Did you know?💡 A study by e-mobility consultants UScale GmbH reveals that two-thirds of German companies are actively transitioning their fleets to electric vehicles – or have already made the switch.   Despite this progress, challenges still remain: high costs of EVs (47%), charging infrastructure (39%), and electricity (34%) lead the list. Companies also face issues with finding mobile charging solutions, selecting suitable EVs, installing charging infrastructure, and ensuring sufficient electrical capacity at their sites.   The shift is happening, but there’s still work to be done! 💪🏻 #emobility #study #business #ev #transformation
